Gideon Mantell is famous for his fossil discoveries, notably the dinosaurs including Iguanodon, and also many ammonites, crustaceans and fish from the Cretaceous rocks of Sussex. This talk discusses his mentors and the people who helped with his research, sometimes overlooked by historians.
