Handful of historical bits found in the mud by the River Thames

About

Join us on Saturday 22 March (11am-4.30pm) for an event where London's top mudlarks will display collections of amazing treasures reflecting the history of the River Thames

Organised by Sussex Archaeology & History, in association with 'Hands on History', this event will 'showcase' the extraordinary range of historical finds (prehistoric to modern) recovered from the Thames foreshore.  There will be 25 mudlark exhibitors displaying their finds, and a repeated lecture will explain what Mudlarks do and find.

This event will be of great interest to people of all ages (including accompanied schoolchildren) who are interested in archaeology, history, metal detecting, antiques, etc.

No need to come all day, drop in for an hour or so, see the exhibitions, view the recorded lecture, and visit the archaeology bookstall (please bring cash for book sales).
