Greenhavens Network was set up to support community groups who are volunteering to protect your green spaces and bring them to life, we currently represent over 75 community groups, stretching from Telscombe to Seaford. All of these green ambassadors are championing your green spaces, through caring about your parks and opens spaces as well as doing everything they can to help wildlife flourish and encouraging people to be healthy and happy in their local green spaces.
Refill - Seaford and Newhaven
Seaford and Newhaven started up in January 2018 and we’re here to help our community fall back in love with tap water. Seaford and Newhaven are two East Sussex coastal towns which run from the iconic Cuckmere Haven and Coastguard cottages in the South Downs National Park, along the coast to the port of Newhaven. We get lots of lovely wild weather and the sea washes plenty of plastic onto our beaches. Visitors using the coastal paths and the seafront sadly leave litter and we have a problem with bottle dropping in the towns as well.
Refills available at our Tourist Information Offices in Seaford and Lewes.
Transition Town Lewes
Transition Town Lewes (TTL) is a voluntary organisation with many dedicated people offering their time, effort and knowledge to help make Lewes a thriving and sustainable community. Since early 2007 hundreds of Lewes people have been getting together to discuss ideas and put them into action.
We’ve formed groups around food, energy and waste (to name but a few) with the aim of making Lewes more sustainable and better able to deal with the effects of climate change and depleting oil supplies in the future.
