Pick a Pumpkin
You can't celebrate Halloween without a pumpkin and picking your own is so much fun.
South Farm open their fields to the public every year and their selection of pumpkins to choose from never disappoints. Simply pop on your wellies, head out into the field and pick your favourite. It's a great way to get the kids out and about in the countryside as well as being lots of fun.

Blackberry Farm Spooktacular
Put on your best Halloween costume, grab your broomstick or magic wand and join the folks at Blackberry Farm for some ‘Spook-tacular’ fun throughout October Half Term.
Visit Clucky's Pumpkin Barn and choose a pumpkin or wander through their creaky barn for a scary surprise. They will also be running craft workshops, pumpkin carving and face painting.

Family Wild Day Out
Don't suffer with cabin fever this half term, bring your children to the woods to discover and explore a whole new WILD world.
Activities range from making ropes and swings and den building to seasonal natural crafts and fire lighting. This day is designed for the whole family and welcomes children and parents of all ages.

Fort Fright Week
The Newhaven Fort friendly Fright Week is coming back this October half term!
Explore their terrifying tunnels, transformed into an abandoned nuclear bunker with communication centres and medical room – but watch out, you might not be alone down there!
Complete their creepy quiz or try your hand at some fiendish arts and crafts for a full Halloween experience!
NB: All activities are included in the normal Fort entrance fee.

All Aboard the Wizards Express
Bluebell Railway is inviting all witches and wizards, ghosts and ghouls, to a spooky gathering this October half term!
Expect Halloween fun and games, including a fancy dress competition, crafty fun, and much more. Visitors on Halloween (31st October) will also enjoy extra spooky fun, including pumpkin lighting, a disco for small children, and an additional evening train.
