If your loved one has a sweet tooth why not indulge them with a spot of afternoon tea at the Proud Country House. This is a Grade 1 listed house built in 1722 boasting beautiful architecture and decor. In the winter months, their wood fires will keep you toasty as you nibble cakes and sip tea. You can also add a glass of Prosecco or a bottle of Champagne to make your Valentine’s treat even more romantic, The house is closed on the 14th but is open the following weekend, perfect for those working on the actual day. If you like to dine out somewhere with impressive scenery, The View in Seaford is a great restaurant and bar up on the cliffs at Seaford Head.
