The origins of the art of Dwyle Flonking are lost in the mists of time, and the rules and scoring system are obscure: A "dull witted person" is chosen as the referee, and awards points based on the throwing of beer soaked rags ("dwyles") by the flonker at the non-flonking team as they "girt" (dance in a circle) around him. Drinking penalties may be levied on anyone not taking it seriously enough, and points deducted for anyone sober at the end of the game.
Whether you understand the rules or not, its a great afternoon of silly, beer soaked fun and a Lewes institution.
