Historic House & Garden. A magnificent Elizabethan manor house set in the heart of the South Downs. Glynde Place is the family home of Viscount and Viscountess Hampden.

Glynde Place is located in the village of Glynde, some three miles to the east of the county town of Lewes. Follow the brown Tourist Board signs from either the A27 or the B2192.The nearest railway station is Glynde Station, which is 1 mile away.

* Visits to the house are by ticketed free flow tours. You do not need to pre-book, just buy your ticket on the door on the day. Free flow tours will be limited to 30 people at any time. You will be able to read about 500 years and more of family life at the house. Our guides will be available to answer any questions.
There will be no private tours during 2021 but we will be welcoming private tours from 2022 on non-open days (Monday, Tuesday and Friday). Please see below for details of prices, dates and times. Please note that most of the tour takes place on the first floor and that there is no lift access.
The tea room at Glynde Place is open between 1pm to 5pm on days when the house is open to the public.
