Young Makers of Change is a monthly meet-up session for young people. aged 13 - 18
This is a creative session which combines Craftivism (crafting in the service of non-violent personal, social, political or environmental change) with listening, sharing and small group discussions to invite all present to be given peer support and the creative inspiration /skills needed to focus on what they deeply care about, want to protect, defend – or celebrate.
During the session you will be invited to focus on an issue you wish to create change on, and begin a small-scale piece of craftivism, which can be worn, gifted (or even sent to people you might want to influence). No previous making experience is necessary, there will be skill-sharing and it will be fun!
Let's see what connections, conversations, projects and campaigns might emerge from us coming together.
The sessions are free. Craft Materials and refreshments will be provided
You are welcome to come to all, or some, depending on what works for you.
All events supported by A Woman's Place Project are LGBTQA friendly.
