About

Weave Your Own Wall Hanging Workshop | Saturday May 6th @ 11am.

Please note that due to our wonderful teachers coming far and wide, along with materials and other pre-workshop costs, we cannot provide refunds or exchanges.

"Weaving is the perfect hobby, When you start weaving any negative thought or anxieties are washed away, as you get into the flow!"

You will learn the basics of weaving during a 3-hour workshop with Siobhan, the founder of Shiv Textiles, a Brighton-based sustainable textiles studio.

Create your own wonderful woven wall hanging in this beginner's class. Working on a small handheld frame loom, you'll learn how to start and finish weaves, explore different fibres and craft a range of simple and effective techniques. All the uniques yarns you will use, are dead stock from British mill, making your creation fully sustainable!

Using your hands to create something is super important even more so in this modern age when everyone is working on computers or are on their phones. Research shows that making things by hand is great for decreasing stress, relieving anxiety and improving mental health.

All levels and abilities welcome.
