Depot will be hosting a special Ukrainian Supper club following our CINECITY screening of The Flowers of Ukraine.
Working collaboratively with the local group Ukrainian Hearts, this will be an evening of Ukrainian food and culture.
Ukrainian Hearts are a group of Ukrainian women who live in Lewes and work to raise money and awareness about the ongoing war in their home country.
18:30: Film (£9 per adult ticket): Flowers of Ukraine, directed by Adelina Borets. Screened as part of the CINECITY Film Festival.
Synopsis: When greedy property developers attempt to force the feisty 67-year-old Natalia off her small plot of land – a garden oasis in the midst of an apartment complex in Kyiv – she fights back, refusing to be defeated. When her entire country is subsequently invaded by ruthless land-grabbing individuals, her rebellious fight only grows stronger in spirit.

Mains – Zrazy; Stuffed and fried potato pancakes, filled with a choice of either;
Beef and pork Mushrooms (V)
Served with sour cream, kapusta (braised red cabbage) and adjika (spiced tomato sauce)
Dessert – Makivnyk (additional £5 on the night)
Poppy seed and dried fruit rolled in pastry, with creme fraiche (V)
