Join us for a talk & wine tasting with the effervescent wine writer, presenter and newly minted author Tom Surgey. Tom's career is varied, spanning live work and radio, alongside regular TV appearances as the drinks expert on ITVs Love Your Weekend, with Alan Titchmarsh and Saturday Kitchen.

Tom has recently written the book 'How to Drink Wine' which captures his charismatic and engaging voice, alongside his passion for making wine accessible for everyone. The book blurb states, 'Wine can be hard to know where to start: how is wine made? What's the difference between red and white? How do I know what to buy in a shop? Am I holding my glass correctly? In this modern, accessible, warm and funny introduction to wine, Tom Surgey answers all these questions and more; doing away with old-school snobbery and teaching you how to get the most out of your favourite drink.'

We'll be discussing the book throughout the evening and Tom will be showing as well as telling: leading us through an immersive tasting of two Artelium Wines, putting his tips into practice. After the talk, there will be an opportunity to buy 'How to Drink Wine' and have it signed by Tom.

This evening is part of our series of monthly talks at the estate. On the last Wednesday (ish) of the month enjoy discussions, demonstrations and performances under the themes of WINE, ART & NATURE.
