Rebecca Wells and Alison Briggs are Lewes-based abstract artists who have collaborated on a number of projects and exhibitions in recent years. Whilst in some ways their work is very different, they both value working intuitively without a clear outcome in mind. Taking Up Space explores questions such as how much space to take up or leave on the page, as well as the complex relationship with 'taking up space' that is often experienced by artists and people more generally.
