Summer Flowers Bundle Dye Workshop

Join Tara for this workshop in the wonderful art of botanical dyeing. There are so many plants and flowers that yield incredible colour and have been used for centuries to dye our textiles. Bundle dyeing; the gentle steaming of plant colour directly onto cloth, is the perfect way to introduce yourself to this fascinating craft. During this workshop you will create your own beautiful botanically dyed silk or organic cotton scarf using various petals, leaves and extracts and gathered flowers. The perfect way to capture some of the beauty of summer onto something you can wear again and again.

Tara Macdonald began her career as a horticulturalist and garden designer. Her fascination with craft and plants has led her to develop her practice in botanical dyeing. Working from her dye studio in Rye, she loves to use gathered plants and those she grows in her own garden in her work.

Workshop details:  9th September, 11.00am - 2pm (3 hours approx) All materials provided.  The whole session will be fuelled by bottomless tea and biscuits. Attendees receive 20% discount in the Radical Giving store.   Please note that due to our wonderful teachers coming far and wide, along with materials and other pre-workshop costs, we cannot provide refunds or exchanges.
