Join us for an engaging workshop where you will learn the art of weaving your very own foraging pouch using British grown Rush, found in riverbeds.
In this workshop, participants will be guided through the process of creating an intricate and functional bag using simple weaving techniques. Whether you are gathering wild herbs, mushrooms, or simply collecting souvenirs from your adventures, a well-made foraging pouch can enhance your experience and keep your finds safe.
During the workshop, you will learn;
Preparation and care of rush. How to select appropriate materials for your foraging pouch. Weaving techniques such as pairing and dropping a border. Techniques on how to make cordage for the strap. By the end of the session, you will walk away with a personalised foraging pouch, (approx 8x5'') that you have crafted with your own hands, ready to accompany you on your next outdoor exploration. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned crafter, this workshop offers a fun and rewarding opportunity to connect with nature and learn a new skill.
