Rodmell Library, founded during lockdown, presents a Community Arts & Crafts Exhibition including:
Andrea Mindel – awarded the Outside In and Arts Society South Downs Dr Andrew Edney bursary, which has made this exhibition possible. Studying Hand Embroidery at the Royal School of Needlework, her work was selected for the Hastings Open 2020 at the Hastings Museum & Art Gallery.
Guy Smart – independent linocut printmaker, the face behind GDSM Prints. His artworks are mostly inspired by his travels around South Africa, where he completed a diving qualification. The colourful patterns and textures of marine life are reflected in his lino prints, juxtaposed against bold, eye-popping backgrounds
Holly Rabjohns – Textile artist specialising in multimedia, handcrafted textiles and digital print. Her work creates a transcendental atmosphere that engages the imagination.
Ali Rabjohns – Textile artist experimenting with watercolour painting, felting, journal work, natural dyes, deconstructed textiles, and botanical contact printing. She observes the rhythms of the natural world, using colour and texture to connect with the macro/micro worlds that live within us and that we live within.
Acoustic music in the garden from much-loved Lewes and Rodmell musicians The Dead Reds and Sepia Shadows.
