The tour is a series of free community events offering ways for local people to celebrate, learn and act for the River Ouse and nearby coastline. The event is a free fun day and everyone is welcome. Just pop in!
Organisers, Love our Ouse, are making a BIG splash of it. Attractions will take place both in and outdoors quayside including stalls, talks and fun activities for all the family. Newhaven has a rich history past and present with the Ouse and they look forward to local people taking part.
There's a guided heritage walk of West Quay, a family bike ride up Egrets Way, try out the virtual reality Under the Sea Experiance and be serenaded by the 14-piece folk orchestra the Dockside Barrel Scrapers!
There are talks throughout the day on being safe to swim, Newhaven watercourses, Rights for the River Ouse and what the river means to local people.
Talks programme and scheduled activities are on the website.
See you there!
