Join the composite eco-poet kin’d & kin’d upstairs at the beautiful RNLI building for a poetry workshop and performance on Sunday afternoon, 4th September. kin’d & kin’ddefine eco-poetry as a poetry that aspires to be conscious of what we are doing when we describe, record, interact with or take from what we call nature. It is a poetry that recognises the natural world as source, not resource.
All are welcome to the workshop (3.00 – 5.00pm), which will include reading, writing and conversation about local and global issues, and will be followed by an hour (5.30-6.30pm) of poetry readings by local eco-poets
Come to the workshop only, or the performance only, or preferably both!
Fee: workshop £5/£10; free for residents of BN9. Performance: free.
