Pottery Workshop - Build your own Breakfast Set

About

Create a one-of-a-kind mug and plate in this half-day pottery workshop.  With artist Katie of KP Studio, you'll learn traditional slab-building and explore surface textures through mark making and pressing with foraged foliage – think foraged leaves, gnarled twigs and rocks.

It's a chance to roll your sleeves up, let your mind switch off and really connect with the act of making with a material drawn from earth.

After the workshop, your finished pieces will then be taken back to Katie's studio to start their firing journey.  Each piece gets fired twice, the first to vitrify the clay and the second to be glazed.  The pieces will then be returned back to Radical Giving for collection within 5 weeks.

All levels and abilities welcome.

Workshop details:

- Date - Sunday 29th June - Time - 12pm - 3.30pm (3.5 hours) - Location - Radical Living Store, The Needlemakers, Lewes BN7 2NZ - All materials provided - The whole session will be fuelled by bottomless tea/coffee and biscuits. - Attendees receive 20% discount in the Radical Giving store full of amazing wellness and homeware goods. - Receive 10% off the incredible cafe/restaurant Squisto that is situated next to our store. - Tickets are sold per person - We do offer refunds and exchanges on the basis that we receive notification of your cancellation no sooner than 14 days prior to the workshop date. Due to our wonderful teachers coming far and wide, along with materials and other pre-workshop costs, this enables us time to be able to fill your space.
