Come and help Hospitable Environment create a Soup & Social event for the community.

Book to join our free cooking and baking workshops for children and young people. At 11:15am in the Hillcrest Cafe, we will be running two workshops with 8 spaces on each. Together we will make soup, garlic bread and cake to be served as part of Soup and Social lunch at the Swap, Share & Repair event on the same day.

These are the first in a new series of regular 'Pineapple People' events - a dedicated strand of creative workshops specifically for children and young people designed to engage, empower and advocate for the younger members of our community.

After we cook, we'll be hosting a drop-in creative workshop from 12.15 - 1pm, with badge making and a chance to enter our 'Pineapple People' logo competition.

The Soup & Social - our free shared meal - will be offered to all visitors to the Swap, Share & Repair event at 1pm and everyone is invited to join us.

Timeline:

11:00 - Swap Share Repair event see Newhaven Green Centre for workshops.

11:15am- Pineapple People Cake Baking workshop or Pineapple People Soup Cooking workshop (Parents pick up at 12pm)

12:15pm - Drop-in creative workshop - Pineapple People logo competition and badge making (20 people at a time parents included)

1pm - Soup and Social

1:40 Soup and Social community news - Bring news, events or information you would like to share.

Parents/carers must sign their children up for the workshop they want as there is no switching on the day. Parents/carers you can drop off your child to the baking/cooking workshop but please stay onsite at the Hillcrest. There are loads of activities going on on the day that you can engage in, and within the cafe there will be an opportunity to have a free hand massage from a Touch of Gentleness CIC.

Hospitable Environment has DBS, Public Liability insurance and will be asking parent/careers to sign a workshop consent form when they drop off their child.
