Pete made his first trip to the Appalachian Mountains in 1978. He is a member of Rattle on the Stovepipe and plays fiddle with Shirley Collins in the Lodestar Band. He's an experienced teacher, author of American Old Time Fiddle Tunes (Schott ED 13236), and director of the London Fiddle School. In this friendly workshop he'll teach great tunes from old time tradition, some classic, others of more recent composition and share his insights into bowing, ornamentation and 'feel'. Some tunes will be taught in standard tuning, others in cross-A.
