Join us for a captivating children's storytime session at the historic Lewes Castle, where Spectrum Drama will transport young minds to a time of mystery, resilience, and discovery. In this unique storytelling event, we will explore one of history's most fascinating and ominous chapters: "The Black Death." Through the eyes of Wilfred, children will be transported back to the tumultuous days when Europe was gripped by the deadly plague. Wilfred will take them on a mesmerising journey through time, unraveling the gripping tale of the origin and spread of "The Black Death" while providing a vivid glimpse into the life of a person living during that era. Spectrum Drama combines storytelling with drama to create an immersive experience that engages young audiences and encourages their imagination to run wild. This event is designed to be educational and entertaining, making history come alive in a way that will captivate children and ignite their curiosity about the past. After the storytime session, children will have a chance to look at and hold real historical artefacts.
Age suitability: This event is suitable for children of all ages, although it is recommended for those aged 6 and above due to the historical nature of the subject matter. Parents and guardians are welcome to join their children and share in this immersive storytelling experience.
