Nature Wanders is a new series of free, gentle walks starting on the Railway Land, each Tuesday and Thursday morning. They are open to adults looking to experience the benefits of being outdoors, while learning about and sharing knowledge of local wildlife. The walks take you through various habitats including chalk streams, woodlands, ponds, reedbeds, and meadows. Along the way, you'll discover the rich history of the reserve, gain insights into its ecology, and learn from fellow nature lovers. When and Where: Walks are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 11am to 12:30pm, throughout the seasons. We meet at 11am at the Linklater Pavilion, Lewes, BN7 2FG. Group Details: Nature Wanders are led by a two-person volunteer team, with support from on-site staff. The group size is limited to a maximum of 12 participants, ensuring a personal and relaxed experience. Walkers are encouraged to engage with nature at a slow pace, allowing plenty of time to observe and discuss the wildlife and surroundings. What to Expect: These walks are designed to be a relaxed and social experience. Take photos, inspect seed pods, and immerse yourself in nature. Whether you're attending for the first time or coming back regularly, each walk offers the chance to deepen your knowledge of wildlife and build connections with other group members. Booking: To secure your place, please book via Eventbrite. Participants are welcome to join on a one-off or regular basis. We hope to see you there!
