Join artisan Amber Joy and learn the historic craft of marquetry. This workshop will teach you the traditional 'knife-cut' technique to create your own veneered coaster with a contemporary twist. You will leave this project with your very own piece of high-end homeware and experience in a historic wood craft. Suitable for beginners, this course requires a level of dexterity.
All materials will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting messy.
The workshop will be followed by a delicious supper and a glass of Artelium wine.
This workshop is part of the 'Festival of Making' week, which kicks off with a Spring Makers Market on the 22nd March followed by a week of creative workshops running from the 24th - 28th March.
