Lewes Quaker Meeting is delighted to host the Loving Earth Exhibition of textile art at the Quaker Meeting House on Friars Walk, Lewes.
This free exhibition will be open to the public every Saturday in November, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Please do come along, and bring your family and friends to see the art! The Loving Earth Project has been created by people across Britain and beyond. This community project was started by Quaker Arts Network, and has produced hundreds of panels, showing a wide variety of creative interpretations responding to the threat of climate breakdown. Loving Earth panels have been exhibited in venues across the UK, from Quaker meeting houses, churches, libraries and museums, to Parliament in Westminster.
There is no admission charge, although donations will be welcomed. Tea and coffee available.
Members of the public are also invited to join local Friends [Quakers] for a free arts and crafts workshop on Saturday, 9 November, at the Quaker Meeting House, between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The workshop is free but donations are welcome, and you must book a place in advance (2-hour slot) by emailing quakermeetinghouselewes@gmail.com . Tea and coffee will be available. All are welcome.
