In this workshop, suitable for improvers, you will be venturing out to explore the beautiful downland landscape in the famous Downs Country Park surrounding Charleston Farmhouse to create resource material in the form of compositional sketches and photographic reference. These resources will be used back in the studio to create a landscape painting in oils.
Studio easels are provided, but if you have a pochade and tripod, or French easel, you may wish to bring this along for working outside. The workshop includes refreshments, a delicious lunch and a private tour of the house.
Materials and canvases will be provided but students must provide their own paints.
