Alex form Webb and Farrer will show you how to arrange dried British flowers in a glass vase in this workshop. You'll learn new florist skills you can transfer and use for fresh flowers at home too.
You'll find out how to create: shape, movement and texture in the vase with your dried flowers and grasses. And along the way you'll also learn which ratios look best for flowers in a vase. The workshop is 60 minutes long and you'll create a dried flower arrangement in a vase to take away with you.
We will be using dried British flowers and grasses and techniques that don't use any plastics.
From the maker: I'm Alex Barton and I've been a florist since 2014. I took a flower arranging course for fun, when I lived in London all those years ago, and that was the moment I realised I wanted to work with flowers in this creative industry.
This workshop is a great opportunity to take a moment for yourself and pause from the busy screen-based world. Flowers bring a warm sense of nostalgia because the fragrances, petal shapes and colours remind us of fond memories with a connection to flowers and gardens in our past.
