Cohen is a young, brilliant and inventive melodeon and anglo concertina player and a glorious singer with a deep understanding of traditional music and a powerful, compelling style of his own. He's in great demand at folk music festivals and clubs as a solo performer and with the trio Granny's Attic.
Cohen will give us two 45-minute spots and the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience performing a song or tune if they wish. During the day Cohen leads an all-day melodeon workshop (£45, 2 under-25 year olds £22). Email valmaigoodyear@aol.com for more details and to reserve places.
Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well. We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.
