Bob is a fine singer & brilliant guitarist from the North East with a huge range of songs from the area. He tours extensively in the UK, USA, Australia & Europe. Since 1975 he has performed & recorded with Tom McConville, Stu Luckley, Vin Garbutt, Billy Mitchell of Lindisfarne, John Tams & Benny Graham as well as solo. Since 2011 Bob played The Songman in the West End show War Horse http://www.warhorseonstage.com/ (music by John Tams). Bob also tours with Jez Lowe, Billy Mitchell & Benny Graham in the superb show The Pitmen Poets. Bob will give us two forty-five minute spots and the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience performing a song or tune if they wish. Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well. We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in. We have a loyalty card. Six visits earn you £5 off an evening when admission is £5 or more.
