Crown Events Limited are pleased to present the 760th Anniversary spectacle of King Henry III and Prince Edward's Royalist army in mortal combat on the streets of Lewes against the forces of Simon de Montfort and his rebel barons.
The country's only full contact battle reenactment through the streets of the town at various points on the High Street, from The Gallops to Lewes Castle, and Lewes Priory where we witness the final surrender of Henry III to Simon de Montfort.
A FREE EVENT and celebration of Lewes incorporating the Battle of Lewes reenactment, medieval traders and historical displays and demonstrations
An expert team of Historical Reenactors and Historians are creating this spectacle to unite the town with the clash of steel against maille as the re-telling of the events of 14th May 1264 unfold in all it's glory.
Spanning across 2 days - the event will feature reenactors from across the country, and beyond, with a full medieval camp with combat displays and activities at The Convent Field and the Priory.
A medieval trading village on the Convent Field with food, drink and medieval wares as well as medieval entertainment for all of the family.
