Beautiful and somewhat mysterious Aurelia returns to England without her husband and gets caught in a web of deceit and crime involving Isabel - her husband's former love, his aunt - Lady Chalmont and her housekeeper - Vera.
Murder, robbery and blackmail all start to recoil on her head and, twist and turn though she may to meet each new unexpected complication, the end of the story is one of disaster and irony.
This intriguing tale is directed by Clare Penfold and features performances from Lesley Drew, Trish Richings, Tanya Baxter, Ann Mabey, Peter Barnes and Lee Coleman-Powney.
