About

Ever wanted to create fire like our ancestors?  Join us for a day of Ancient Fire Making!

In this hands-on course, you'll dive into prehistoric fire-starting techniques—using flint and iron pyrites like Ötzi the Iceman, trying fire by friction with a bow drill, and even crafting your own rushlights to take home.

Explore the cultural and ritual significance of fire and light through the ages, from Bronze Age burial sites to ancient Celtic festivals like Samhain.

Whether you're interested in ancient technologies, archaeology, bushcraft, or eager to sharpen your survival skills, this hands-on course will ignite your curiosity.
