Keep your toes warm this autumn with a pair of gorgeous botanically dyed socks! Join Tara to bundle dye your own unique pair of snuggly bamboo socks coloured with plants and flowers.
There are so many plants that yield incredible colour and have been used for centuries to dye our textiles. Bundle dyeing; the gentle steaming of plant colour directly onto cloth, is the perfect way to introduce yourself to natural dyeing. During this workshop you will create your own beautiful botanically dyed bamboo socks using various petals, leaves, extracts and gathered flowers. The perfect way to capture some of the beauty of nature onto something you can wear again and again. You will be provided with a pair of socks that are ready to dye. Different sizes will be available for you to choose from. There will also be the option to buy another pair to dye for a lovely gift!
Tara Macdonald began her career as a horticulturist and garden designer. Her fascination with craft and plants has led her to develop her practice in botanical dyeing. Working from her dye studio in Rye, she loves to use gathered plants and those she grows in her own garden in her work.'
