11.45 Sarah Nelson will talk about her 10 years experience of No-dig Gardening and Penny Jones of Foxwood Forestry will describe Hugel mounds for growing vegetables and soft fruit. Both techniques help to reduce weeds, hold moisture when it is dry and retain nutrients in the soil when it is wet.

1.00 Cherry Buckwell Growing Trees from Seeds. SeedActs will be bringing some of the many thousands of local acorns that they have collected and sprouted, ready for everyone to help plant up and distribute. Stewart Boyle of Vert Woods will join Cherry to share top tips for growing trees from seeds

Also weave a willow plant support/obelisk with Emma Purcell 10-12pm or 1-3pm £40/person. Booking is essential. Please email Emma on hello@emmapurcell.net

Our popular Tool Sharpening workshops are back. 11am and 1pm (no need to book). Bring tools (knives, secateurs, sickles, scythes and hoes) and learn how to sharpen them under the skillful guidance of Peter May.

Stalls selling seeds, plants, seed potatoes, fruit trees and bushes, plant supports, bird boxes and much more!

Activities for children of all ages. Join us to plant wildflower seed plugs for autumn planting, create gourmet bird feeders for garden birds, and make summer seed bombs and beads to attract butterflies and bees. Invite the wild into your outdoor spaces!

Also, can you help us with our important town wide hedgehog survey? We can help you with the identification of local plants and animals.
